New Operator: Thomas Resort becomes Udon Thai House

15.02.2018 - 10:37

The Udon Thai House has new owners. The two Swiss siblings, Kim-My and Jan Schefer, have been the new hosts at Udon's traditional company since the beginning of January. Thomas Leissner, the founder and operator of the hotel since 2001, is going into well-deserved retirement.

On February the 13th, Udon Thai House hosted a soft opening party. Family, friends, patrons and acquaintances celebrated the handing over of the business, and Kim-My's birthday, together with the new owners.

Preserving old values, bringing new ideas and investments for a new start

The two Swiss plan to maintain the usual hospitality and professional operation of the Udon Thai House in the future. There will be visible changes especially in the area of furnishings and design. Here, the new operators are planning to make further investments.

The cuisine will be refined

There will be a facelift for the menu. Popular classics are complemented by Swiss specialties. Raclette, cheese fondue and Zurich (Geschnetzeltes) sliced meat will find their place on the menu. Extra emphasis is placed on fresh and high quality products and ingredients. Regular specials and events should provide additional variety.

Soft opening a great success, with a positive outlook for the future

The success of the soft opening provided a first glimpse into the successful business future of the two siblings. Over 40 guests spent a cheerful evening with cool drinks and specialties from the grill and buffet.
