Thai Gov’t Worried for US-Iran Conflict Fallout

BANGKOK — Officials and experts on Monday said they fear Thailand may be caught in collateral damage from the heightened confrontation between the U.S. and Iran. Following the U.S. drone strike on Friday that killed Qasem Soleimani, who is widely considered to be Iran’s second most powerful person, an international relations professor urged Thailand to remain vigilant, as the assassination could prompt responses from armed groups allied to Iran.
