Access via the 227/222 Kalasin highway.
For three days I was traveling by bike in the far northeast of Isaan - quite a sparsely populated area, very scenic with still largely natural vegetation. An ideal place for eco-tourists and a wonderful spot for a cozy and tranquil biking trip on a comfortable chopper.

When I read 'The Wat is a unique and spectacular building, rivalling (link) Notre Dame in Paris, The Sistine Chapel in Rome and the Taj Mahal in India', then I can only say that I think it is ridiculous to compare such a new piece of art with those absolute highlights of human architecture!
